As a single mom (by choice/divorce) for almost 19 years, I can totally relate to this. Indeed there ARE some things that require two people, though more people are now successfully parenting alone. Though I may not have a man to help me with things I can’t or won’t do (like clean my guess) I do have friends who will be glad to learn a helping hand… because they are strong, capable, “older” women like me.
