As the mother of a 20-something year old son, I can totally relate to this article. I (a single mom) wanted to not raise a "hypermasculine" huntin', fishin', beer-drinking good ol' boy that is predominant in the small town where I live, and it worked. Thank goodness!! I cheer you and your child raising too, Jonita. We could use less guys and more men (with feelings, and the ability to acknowledge them) in this world.
