Bravo!! Kudoes to you!! I love this! Very intelligently and insightfully written…and lots of truths contained herein.

(Oh, though I think you could’ve added the original “Roseanne" to the list. I think that show was the beginning of TV sitcoms going to hell in a hand basket, as the old saying goes. The characters were snotty, unkind and sarcastic--obviously there was underlying, unexpressed anger in some of them — and I could not stomach them).

You outlined perfectly some of the reasons why I loathe The Simpsons and Family Guy. I guess they “triggered" me. TI love Frasier but I see your point about the show. The other shows I’m not familiar with (I don’t watch much TV) but probably wouldn’t be able to stand either. They sounds like---as many other toxic, american TV shows--more of the same: that is, seeing horribly dysfunctional family units/dynamics as “normal", and even funny. This is so-called “entertainment” in this country.
