I for one depressed despise the term “May/December relationship”, as well as the label of Cougar (which I, as an “older woman" decidedly am not, BTW). I have usually dated older men (within 10 or so years of me) because I think men in the Baby Boomers are more gentlemanly than men in the generations below me. And usually it’s true. Unfortunately it’s NOT always true that just because they are older that they are “mature", as in competent, confident grown-ups able to engage in an adult relationship (as opposed to “situationship").
That being said, your article does present some good food for thought as far as analyzing why we are attracted to, and get involved with, who we do plus some points to ponder. Thanks for sharing.
