Good story!! I think my ex-husband was a Peter Pan--or else just a highly dependent man who didn’t want to/couldn’t grow up. He had no problem with me paying all the bills … which is why I eventually kicked his free-loading self out the door. It’s my perception that this is a lot of men in Gen X, and even younger. Some people weren’t taught how to be independent persons… and I WAS taught to be this way, by a very competent, hard-working, feminist-thinking, liberal-oriented mother. Thank heavens I got away from Peter Pan guys and have a “real man" now.
