I’ve been saying for a long time that my “relationships" sometimes seem like we are actors reading from a script, playing the part of a “couple". It feels shallow, not very filling, and sometimes not very good for me — kind of like a Twinkie.

I’ve been worried that this is all there is, in one’s middle age, though I suspected lots of people at any age do this (settle for someone) … and now I know, thanks to you and your wonderful article. ☺
