I love this!!! Not only is it full of many practical truths, it’s also LOL funny in many spots. I personally don’t see the point of marriage because, like so many in the middle-aged cohort, I’ve “been there, done that” and have raised my kid to productive adulthood. I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way. Plus the fact that you pointed out, that marriage as an institution is about control, and that aspect is very off-putting for many of us. I didn’t care for the “traditional gender roles” nonsense either, outdated notions that don’t work anymore for the modern generation. And finally, as you stated, expecting relationships to last forever is, indeed, a fairy tale.
Great read, dude!!!
