My first reaction to this headline was to agree: yes, Gen X does suck, as Joy says. I know too many of them who are real slacker parents and as a result their kids (Millennials) have major issues. But … then I remembered that I, a Boomer hippie who HASN’T “sold out” (and has a wonderful Millennial son who breaks all the stereotypes about his generation) am more open-minded and accepting than a lot of younger peeps give us “older people" credit for; and I absolutely DESPISE people being generalized/pigeonholed/stereotyped. Oh, and I totally love online shopping and have tried to NOT do business you-know-where. Anyway, though Joy does bring up a lot of undeniable points, it still doesn’t mean that everyone who is a Gen Xer (I don’t even know the years for them, since it’s a general media-created category and therefore not relevant to me) is a horrible human being. Y’all are still young, says this young Boomer!! You still have time to change yourselves, and your world, for the better. We all do. Cheers!! ☺
