This sounds like a great bandwagon to jump on, given the many scientifically proven adverse effects of alcohol consumption. Unfortunately this trend hasn’t reached the backwater rural community where I live. Many people I know be (who are, like me, Democratic/progressives) wish our state would just legalize weed already but the Midwest is a land with a high percentage of binge drinkers (and, interestedly enough, a high percentage of people who isn’t as conservative) so we are outnumbered. This young Boomer is keeping my fingers crossed that the tide changes in my lifetime.
