Very well said!!! The state of affairs in America currently is awful and scary as well. The Current Administration encourages this crap that is going on, fans the flames of hatred and divisiveness (aided and averted by the media, of course).

I’ve been watching us because a meaner and more angry country and populace for over 20 years. It seems we have just gone farther and farther into the proverbial toilet since the 90s. Just look at TV shows and listen to music in that era and you’ll see proof of what I mean: The shows Roseanne and The Simpsons, for example, and then there was grunge rock, which was basically people whining and hanging on instruments. Sadly we are continuing that downhill slide.

I’m sure ours isn’t the only country that is deeply nationalist sentiments, nor do we have the meanest people on earth. However that doesn’t reduce the sting of seeing what we are and it’s very not pretty. When violence is applauded by certain citizens-especially those in influential positions-that’s enough to make us all pause and debate outy citizenship here vs. elsewhere.
